Cycling for disabled promoted

A SPECIAL event is to be held in Scunthorpe to promote cycling for people with a disability.

Cycle in the Park, on April 14, will offer an organised ride, and showcase North Lincolnshire’s Council’s fleet of specially adapted cycles which have been in high demand at schools and resource centres or for hire since they were bought in 2009.

The cycles on display will include tandems, hand cycles, wheelchair loaders, go-karts and tricycles, and instructors will be available to help those wishing to test them out. Visitors are also
encouraged to bring along their own bike and transport is available on the day if anyone should need it.
