Debt relief for man who gave it his all

A TRADESMAN who has walked more than 200 miles in less than three weeks arrived in Bradford yesterday.

Mark Harmer, 45, undertook his very 21st Century pilgrimage by walking to the debt counselling agency Christians Against Poverty that brought him hope when he was in crisis.

The Bracknell man, like thousands of others hit by the recession, saw his business fail, he faced unemployment and while his debts were escalating depression set in. Soon he will be debt-free.

CAP’s founder and international director John Kirkby, said: “It is a great privilege for us to turn a hopeless situation around so I am very moved by Mark’s efforts”.
