Detectives hunt men who robbed taxi driver in early hours

Detectives are hunting two men who robbed a taxi driver outside a 24-hour store in Huddersfield.

The driver had pulled up to collect a pre-arranged fare in the Fartown area and was approached by two men as the vehicle was about to leave.  

Following a brief conversation with the driver, one of the men grabbed him and took an amount of cash. Both men then left the scene.

The robbery happened outside a store on Bradford Road, at the junction of Willow Lane, at 3.45am on Monday.

The first suspect is described as a white man, aged 30 to 35, 5ft 5in and of medium build. He had short brown hair, was clean shaven and spoke with a local accent.

He was wearing grey coloured jeans and a yellow high visibility padded jacked. 

The second suspect is a white man, aged 30 to 35, and of medium build.
