Dog walker injured in row over pets

A WOMAN dog walker attacked another woman walking her dog following an incident involving their animals.

Police are hoping two teenagers who stopped the assault on Sunday afternoon in Beech Avenue in Golcar, Huddersfield, can provide information that will help their inquiries.

The victim, 48, was left with superficial injuries which needed hospital treatment.

The teenagers were white and aged 17-20. One was wearing a baseball cap and had a goatee beard.

The suspect was Afro-Caribbean, 50-55, 5ft 4 and had a medium to stocky build. She had a short black afro hair style and was wearing a dark coloured waist length jacket and a long grey skirt. She had a Jamaican accent.

PC Natalie Bailey said: “This was a nasty incident and we would very much like to trace the two teenagers who saw what happened and intervened as we need to speak to them as witnesses.

“I would ask them to come forwards and would appeal to anyone who knows the identity of the victim’s attacker to contact us.”

Contact police via the 101 number.
