Doors open on work of health researchers

World-class experts at a Yorkshire university are opening their laboratory doors to give the public a chance to see their ground-breaking research.

The first Life Festival will celebrate the work of Sheffield University’s medicine, dentistry and health researchers to improve lives with research into cancer, Parkinson’s disease, dementia and childhood diseases.

The six-day festival, which starts on Monday next week, will include free health checks, interactive lab demonstrations and lectures from experts among them Dawn Harper from Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies.
