Drive for superfast broadband

AN MP has written to parish councils to urge them to help the drive for superfast broadband services across the county.

Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart, who took part in a Parliamentary debate on broadband earlier this month, said: “The Government has allocated £5.4m to the council to improve broadband services and parish councils can help by providing local information to the council via their broadband website.

“The information will be used to promote the East Riding as an attractive proposition for potential suppliers and to determine the priority areas for improved broadband services to be rolled out.”
