Driver hurt as vehicle crashes into 4x4 centre

Emergency services were called to Dewsbury 4 x 4 Centre in Old Bank Road just before midnight on Saturday.

The driver had to be freed by firefighters and was taken to hospital before he later discharged himself.

Yesterday, the owner of the business, Michael Whitworth, was counting the cost of the incident.

Mr Whitworth, who is self-employed, said: "It's gone into the front of a garage and demolished the front of the building. It is in a right mess. It's going to run into a lot of money. The front of the building is going to need to be demolished."
