Eight litres a day of Irn-Bru halved
A MAN addicted to a fizzy drink halved his intake after undergoing a quadruple heart bypass caused by an eight-litre-a-day habit.
Andrew McSherry, 52, nearly died from heart disease after spending 20 years and an estimated £35,000 drinking vast quantities of Irn-Bru. After life-saving surgery he briefly gave up his favourite tipple before going back, this time to the sugar-free diet version.
The father-of-three from Glasgow said: “I did give up for a few months but I just couldn’t live without Irn-Bru.”
