Expensive jewellery taken in Tadcaster burglary

A large haul of cash and jewellery has been stolen during a burglary in Tadcaster.

Among the items taken from the property on Doncaster Road was a Cartier three-band wedding ring, a silver Gucci watch, a Links of London pearl, and a Jamie gold heart necklace.

Also stolen was a Tiffany cross necklace, silver Links necklaces, a Marc Jacobs necklace with a red heart charm and a Rolex watch which holds great sentimental value to its owner.

The watch is described as vintage style from 1980 to the early 1990s with a black face and a steal and gold coloured bracelet. The item is worth around £5,000.

The burglary took place sometime between 7.30am and 6pm on Thursday, July 28.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.
