Fire breaks out in kitchen at high-rise flats in Huddersfield

Firefighters were called to a second floor flat at Holme Park Court, in Woodhead Road, at 9.30am this morning (Friday).

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire started after piles of clothes were left on a heater.

It was extinguished and did not spread beyond the kitchen area of the flat.
