Fire crews and air ambulance rescue Yorkshire man from roof

Fire crews and an air ambulance were called to rescue a man from the roof of a property in Yorkshire today.

North Yorkshire Fire service were called out after the man, aged 55, fell from the second floor of a building and landed on a first floor roof next door.

The man was brought down from the roof and taken to hospital by Yorkshire Ambulance Service air ambulance.

North Yorkshire Fire Service tweeted: "Firecrews worked well with YAS to bring an injured 55yr old male down from a 1st floor roof after he had fallen from the 2nd floor of the premises next door.

"Ladders & line rescue equipment used. Male transported to hospital by air ambulance with chest injuries."
