Firms link up for hospice aid
LOCAL businesses have pooled resources to provide a relaxing retreat for hospice patients and their families.
Hull-based Eltherington Group and Beverley-based ABI (UK), and other local firms, equipped a holiday home at Patrington Haven Holiday Park. The ABI model, which has disabled facilities, will be free for patients at Dove House Hospice in Hull and their families.
All the companies involved provided their services free.
Antony Eltherington, managing director of the Eltherington Group, said: "As part of our 50th anniversary celebrations, we were keen to raise funds that would generate something physical for our community rather than just a cash donation."
