Flagging up a global face-off
The week-long programme of events began on Sunday when students from as far afield as Korea, Bulgaria, Germany and Spain began arriving. St Wilfrid's sixth- form student Lee Dawson is seen above with some of the students who took part in a programme of events including a sports gala and interactive art. Activities included a visit to York and Spanish tapas cookery.
Ian Storey, the school's head of international dimension said: "International Week is now in its tenth year and has proved invaluable in terms of broadening horizons, educating our students about the cultures of other countries and increasing their confidence in languages.
