Flight delays at top airports on increase

Delays to flights at major UK airports increased this spring compared with the same period last year, figures show.

The proportion of charter flights on time fell from 74 per cent in spring 2009 (April to June) to 66 per cent in spring 2010, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said.

And scheduled flight punctuality was down from 82 per cent in spring 2009 to 78 per cent in spring this year.
