Parking at Yorkshire hospitals is not good for your financial health

A report has revealed that five health trusts in the Yorkshire region each rake in more than £1m annually from parking fees.

They include Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust which picked a staggering £3.16m from the pockets of patients and visitors.

Come Hull and high water...

It all kicked off in the North Sea 40 years ago this month with the start of the last Cod War, an international dispute over territorial fishing waters that had a devastating impact on one Yorkshire city.

Travellers will be treated to a sight for sore eyes over Christmas when hundreds of miles of roadworks across Yorkshire will be cleared in time for the holiday period.
