Gay dwarf set for TV fame

The cameras will follow Jamie John, 22, from Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, and six other dwarves as they rehearse and perform in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

John, who also performs as his cross-dressing alter-ego Miss DQ, is the tallest of the group at 4ft 8in and said he was inspired by his father who was also a dwarf and died five years ago while in rehearsals for a pantomime. He said: “I’m a diva and proud of it.”

The seven all lived together in a house in Woking, Surrey, where the pantomime was playing last Christmas and viewers will see them struggle to learn their lines, host a raucous house party and enjoy nights on the town.
