Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder is a genetic condition, research has suggested.
The disorder can be explained by differences in the brain rather than parenting skills or diet, say Cardiff University scientists. They found small segments of DNA were duplicated or missing in twice as many children with ADHD than those without the condition in a study published in the Lancet.
