Giant Easter eggs appear at Abbey

There will be a special egg hunt at the National Trust’s Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal, near Ripon, this Easter.

The hunt is part of a programme of events and activities for families to enjoy throughout the holiday including Cadbury supported trails and games. Part of the fun is a special egg hunt around the grounds and the site has enlisted the help of local adult learning disability workshop Jennyruth to help them create some eggs.

Giant colourful wooden eggs have been built by its members, who have a range of learning disabilities, and on Easter Sunday and Monday children will be able to follow a trail to discover the eggs hidden around the abbey and garden.
