Guide to draw tourists to coast and countryside

A NEW guide focusing on the arts and heritage aims to boost visitor numbers to the Yorkshire coast and countryside.

It is published by Welcome to Yorkshire in partnership with Scarborough Borough Council and Ryedale District Council and features a wide range of venues and festivals which is hoped will help draw in tourists.

Janet Deacon, Welcome to Yorkshire area director, said: “The Yorkshire coast and countryside boast an array of extremely talented artists and practitioners, exquisite and stunning galleries, craft centres, art workshops, museums, theatres, an abundance of heritage sites, fabulous examples of public art and a host of art and heritage exhibitions, events and festivals of all disciplines.
