harassment complaints before murder
The police watchdog is investigating action taken by officers in the weeks leading up to Kate Mott’s murder.

Hide AdBrent Mott, 32, strangled the 35-year-old at their home in Everard Road, Southport, in the early hours of January 21 this year then tried to make her death look like the result of a car crash.
He was jailed for a minimum of 25 years last month after a court heard how he raped her at or around the time of the killing.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission said it was investigating how Merseyside Police responded to calls from Mrs Mott.
She had contacted officers on December 15 and 16 to report that her husband was harassing her.
Mrs Mott had faced a torrent of harassment at her husband’s hands.
