Hop to it for dance fun

Andrew Murphy, Karla Wiseman-Murphy, Jane Inkle and Bruce Hitchcock get into the swing ready for a weekend of Lindy Hop fun, with Hull dance group Kingston Swing.

Hullzapoppin at the Endsleigh Centre on Beverley Road on May 27, 28 and 29, is the first of its kind for the region.

Lindy Hop originated in New York in the 1930s and members of Kingston Swing regularly strut their stuff at charity events across the region. “We just love to dance, it’s so much fun and a great way to keep fit” said Jane Inckle, one of the founder members of Kingston Swing.

“We had just got back from a swing event in London and we decided there is no reason why we can’t organise the same in Hull.”
