Hundreds gather for crash victim's funeral

Just two days after mass shootings in Cumbria and just yards away from where taxi driver Darren Rewcastle was killed, the family of a teenage victim of the previous week's bus crash came together for his funeral.

Keiran Goulding's mother Tracey Nicholson, was consoled by her son Adam, after the funeral service at St James's Church in Whitehaven yesterday.

Hundreds gathered to honour the teenager. Kieran, 15, inset, died with Chloe Walker, 16, when the bus taking them home from Keswick School crashed on Monday last week.

As Kieran's coffin was carried into the church, his mother Tracey Nicholson, clutching a single lily and a brown teddy bear, broke down in tears.

On Wednesday, as mourners gathered for Chloe Walker's funeral, taxi driver Derrick Bird was beginning his rampage.
