Hundreds mourn Afghanistan hero
Marine David Hart, 23, from Upper Poppleton, near York, was killed on the eve of his 24th birthday in an explosion in Sangin in Afghanistan on patrol with Afghan soldiers on July 8.
A friend of the heroic serviceman described him as "the life and soul of the party" as hundreds of mourners gathered to pay their respects.
Less than a fortnight earlier another funeral was held in the Minster for a Trooper Ashley Smith, 21, who died in Helmand.
