Hunt continues for fugitive over double knifing

West Yorkshire Police said they had followed up further reported sightings of 40-year-old Leslie Cunningham.

Officers had also ca rried out more searches in West Yorkshire but Cunningham was still on the run last night.

Yesterday both the 55-year-old mother and her 25-year-old daughter were said to be in a stable condition in hospital.

They suffered multiple stab wounds in the incident in Bar Lane, Garforth, Leeds, shortly after 8am on Tuesday.

Cunningham has a half-inch horizontal scar under his right eye and is about 6ft 2in.

He has also been known as “Jevons” or Leslie Jevons.

Officers consider him dangerous and say he should not be approached.
