Police believe that a group are killing animals as part of a sick game in Wilton Park, in Batley .The man who found the bird said: “These acts are cruel and we were really upset because this poor goose wasn’t able to feed due to only having part of its beak. We helped it by physically placing bread in its mouth but it couldn’t do it itself. It also had its tongue hanging to the side as there was no bottom beak to keep it in place.”

Leanne Plumtree, spokeswoman for the RSPCA, said: “The bird is missing its lower beak, resulting in it being unable to feed... We don’t know how this injury happened, and at the moment have no specific evidence that it was caused by a deliberate attack, but would urge anyone with any information to call us on 0300 1234 999.” A video of the injured goose was posted on Facebook, where people expressed their concerns.
