Inquiry launched into PM’s run-in with jogger

The Metropolitan Police Service is to conduct a joint probe with West Yorkshire Police over the incident in which a 28-year-old man was wrestled to the ground by Downing Street security within seconds of coming into contact with David Cameron as he left the Civic Hall.
The incident prompted calls for tighter security for political leaders, echoed by Labour peer Lord Prescott.
But Mr Cameron appeared to brush off the ‘run-in’ with the dreadlocked man, named as Dean Farley on social media, as he delivered his statement on Brussels later that day.
