Investigation starts after boy found hanged at house
Police yesterday revealed that they were investigating the death of a 12-year-old boy whose body was found hanging in a house in Edlington, near Doncaster at around 4.30pm on Monday.
Officers said that a post-mortem examination was scheduled to be held today to establish the cause of death but added that a date for an inquest had yet to be fixed by the coroner's office.
Detectives who were called to the house where the boy was found said last night that they were not treating his death as suspicious.
A police spokesman described the death as "tragic".
The victim was not identified by officers and his family was said to be too upset to talk about what had happened.
