Judge gives seal of approval for Yorkshire Post Motor Show venue

THE new venue of The Yorkshire Post Motor Show and Classic Car Rally has been given the official seal of approval '“ by the man who will decide which cars are the stars of this year's event.

Chief judge Geoff Hill has also revealed what he will be looking for from the hundreds of entries vying to take home honours.

Mr Hill has judged the entries for five years. The motoring enthusiast is looking forward to presiding over a team of judges at this year’s show at Castle Howard on Father’s Day, June 19. Mr Hill, 76, said: “It is very special in that it brings together real enthusiasts – not just people who invest in motor cars but people who really care about cars. I think Castle Howard is a great choice of a venue.”

It is the first time Castle Howard, immortalised in both small and big screen versions of Evelyn Waugh’s celebrated novel Brideshead Revisited, will have hosted the event which is taking ‘Best of British’ as its theme.
