MISS York Anastasia Smith has been recruited to help ensure an extra special dose of festive cheer for 25 lucky winners who will be given a £1m Christmas present at the weekend.

Miss Smith, 21, was at The Royal York Hotel to promote the EuroMillions draw on Friday which will create a 25-strong batch of newly-made millionaires across the country.

The EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle has been making one lucky UK player a millionaire every Tuesday and Friday since it launched in November 2009, and the special Christmas draw will guarantee 25 jackpots of the £1m prize.

This Friday’s draw will mark the end of The National Lottery’s Millionaires Month, which launched on November 25 when 18 lucky people banked £1m.

Millionaires Month guarantees to create a total of 50 UK millionaires by Christmas.
