Leeds station raiders captured on CCTV

POLICE today released CCTV images of a raid on a newsagent’s shop underneath Leeds railway station.

Thieves broke into the shop in the Dark Arches at around 10.30pm on Monday, April 16 and stole more than £15,000 worth of cigarettes, £300 cash and 16 rolls of lottery scratch cards.

British Transport Police today released CCTV images of four men they want to speak to, and of a light grey Iveco, FH05 0CJ, which they believe was used to transport the stolen goods.

Det Con Jackie Wilson said: “We know from our enquiries so far that the van was parked at the back of Neville Street in the Dark Arches for around 15 minutes before four men climbed out and went round the back of the shop where they broke in.”
