Lib Dems triumph in Calderdale marginal
THE Liberal Democrats received a much-needed boost in the latest council by-elections, defending a marginal seat at Calderdale Borough, West Yorkshire.
They won in Warley ward where Labour had returned another councillor in May’s main polls.
The result is particularly satisfying for the Lib Dems as the borough is home to the headquarters of their local government organisation.
