Literary Lunch returns with top political commentator on hand

The leading political commentator will join the list of a host of big names who throughout the years have entertained readers over a three-course meal.

We have teamed up with Harrogate International Festivals for the event, which is part of Harrogate History Festival, on October 20 at the Old Swan Hotel, Harrogate, and tickets are now on sale.

The son of Richard Dimbleby and the younger brother of Question Time’s David, Jonathan’s family is broadcasting royalty. In the 1970s, he climbed the ranks at ITV, presenting This Week, the flagship current affairs show. He presented his own weekly political programme, Jonathan Dimbleby, and anchored the 1997, 2001 and 2005 General Elections for ITV.

One of his biggest scoops was an interview in which Prince Charles admitted being unfaithful to Diana, Princess of Wales with Camilla Parker Bowles. His latest book, The Battle of the Atlantic, How the Allies Won the War, explores the often overlooked conflict that was crucial to victory in the Second World War.
