The window will be situated in the Lady Chapel and comprise more than 50 individual, handmade pieces of glass, created by stained-glass artist Helen Whittaker, above, at Barley Studio in York.

The new panels will be positioned on either side of the chapel’s East Window, which was designed by artist Alan Younger and installed in 2000.
