Look behind scenes of Brontë lives

The Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth will be opening its doors for a series of behind-the- scenes tours this month.

Each event, which will start at 7pm on May 18, 19 and 26 will include a guided tour of the museum, a visit to its library and chance to see some of the museum's collection at close quarters.

The museum is not able to offer guided tours during normal opening hours due to limited space, and its library, which was part of a Victorian extension added in the 1870s, is usually only open to researchers.

The museum, which houses the world's largest collection of Bront manuscripts, letters and artefacts, is only able to display around 10 per cent of its collections.

Tickets can be booked through Sonia Boocock on 01535 640192 or by emailing sonia.boocock @bronte.org.uk
