Man, 78, held over death of woman, 80
The man remained in hospital yesterday where he was being treated for injuries to his wrist and pelvis.
Police were called by paramedics to a property in Salt Street in the Manningham area of the city at 4.25pm on Sunday where a woman was found suffering a head injury. She was pronounced dead a short time later.

Hide AdA West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "A post mortem on the woman has identified head injuries. However further tests need to be carried out to ascertain the exact cause of death."
Manningham councillor Qasim Khan said he went to Salt Street on Sunday after receiving a phone call from a friend.
He said: "I could not believe it. It's a very close knit community. She was very popular. Everyone knows her. People were grieving in the street."
Coun Khan said he thought the woman had lived in the street for more than 40 years.
