Man arrested after a child was attacked in York

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses after the child was attacked on the corner of St Leonards Place and Museum Street on Saturday July 9 at around 11.20am.

The incident was followed by an “incident of disorder” between two men.

The arrested man has been bailed pending further enquiries but police are appealing for further information from people who witnessed what happened.
