Man arrested after six-hour rooftop drama in Leeds
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said officers were called to a domestic disturbance at an address in Spencer Place, Chapeltown, just after 7pm.
The spokesman added: “When officers arrived a man refused to leave the property and barricaded himself into a room. He then climbed onto the roof.

Hide Ad“An operation was put in place to safely remove the man and a trained police negotiator attended to speak to the man who came down safely at 1.55am today and was arrested.”
- Andrew Moorhouse, 49, of no fixed abode, was today charged with two counts of criminal damage in relation to the incident and one count of common assault relating to a separate incident.
He has been released on conditional bail to appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on August 19.
