Man arrested following damage to cars in Harrogate

Police want to speak to the owners of cars damaged in Harrogate during a spate of vandalism on Bank Holiday Monday.

A man was arrested by officers in connection with the incident, which remains under investigation.

Various cars were reported as having been damaged at around 1.30am while they were parked on King's Road between Sainsbury’s and Franklin Mount.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "A local man in his 20s was arrested and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue."

He said officers wanted to hear from anyone whose vehicle had been involved.
