Man charged over attack on Scarborough police station that injured PCSO

A MAN has been arrested after detectives appealed for information about an attack on a North Yorkshire police station that injured a PCSO who was inside.

The incident occurred at Eastfield Police Station on August 16, when at around 10.20pm, a man threw a heavy garden ornament through a double glazed window, injuring the female officer.

She was knocked to the floor and taken to Scarborough Hospital by ambulance for treatment for injuries to her chest and face.

A 26-year-old man from Scarborough has now been charged with Criminal Damage and Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, North Yorkshire Police said.
