Man denies soul singer conspiracy

A FORMER Huddersfield man has appeared in court to deny allegations of plotting to kidnap and kill soul singer Joss Stone.

Kevin Liverpool, 34, pleaded not guilty at Exeter Crown Court to conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to commit GBH and conspiracy to commit robbery.

He is accused of targeting Stone, 24, between January and June, with Junior Bradshaw, 31.

Bradshaw also appeared in court but was not asked to enter any pleas, pending the result of psychiatric tests.

The two men, of St Stephen’s Close, Manchester, were arrested in June, close to the Devon home of Stone, who has an estimated £9m fortune. Her hits include international chart-topper Fell In Love With A Boy,

Both were remanded in custody, with a trial scheduled for next year.
