Man drowns in kayaking accident in Sedbergh
A man has drowned after his kayak capsized near Sedbergh, on the Yorkshire-Cumbria border.
The 28-year-old, from Holland, was with friends when he was dragged underwater on the River Clough at around 4.30pm on Friday.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called along with the land ambulance and Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service.
The man was treated at the scene before being transported to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, but later died.
