Man found with stab wounds in city centre

A MAN was taken to hospital after he was found with stab wounds in the centre of a Yorkshire city.

Officers from South Yorkshire Police were called to Charter Square in Sheffield after the man was discovered with the injuries in the early hours of Saturday.

The man, who is aged in his early 20s, was taken to hospital in the city for treatment to the stab wounds. The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, and a spokeswoman for the South Yorkshire force confirmed that the man was in a “stable” condition.

It is believed officers have so far not made any arrests in the inquiry. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact South Yorkshire Police on the non-emergency number of 101.
