Man stabbed in early hours altercation at Huddersfield bar

A man was stabbed in the chest during an altercation involving a number of men at a Huddersfield bar.

West Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses to the stabbing to get in touch.

The victim suffered multiple stab wounds to the left hand side of his body, near to his ribs and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Violence flared at Kewz Bar in Queen Street at around 4.30am on Saturday when the victim was pushed by another man.

An altercation broke out and a few men became involved as the incident continued at the back of the bar in the beer garden.

One of the suspects was a black male and a second suspect was identified as an Asian man.

Detective Constable Annette Lane, of Huddersfield CID, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who was at Kewz Bar on Saturday night and witnessed the incident which left the victim needing hospital treatment.”
