Masked robbers attack pub manager

THREE masked robbers attacked a pub manager to steal takings as she was cashing up after a evening's trading.

The offenders struck at the Plough pub in Catcliffe, Rotherham, early on Saturday.

The pub manager, a 43-year-old woman, was cashing up when three raiders entered through a fire door.

She was pushed to the floor and two robbers started to take cash from the till while a third attempted to move a slot machine.

He abandoned the attempt and all three fled on foot using the same door.

Police say no weapons were used during the incident and the manager was not physically harmed but was left shaken.

All three men were disguised with balaclava masks and police want to speak to anyone with information about the robbery, or who witnessed the offenders either entering or leaving the Plough.
