Medium offers spiritual advice in nationwide charity tour

After a successful tour of the USA and the Caribbean, he is looking forward to being back on home soil in an event organised by the Yorkshire Post in Harrogate.

Over the last few years, he has raised tens of thousands of pounds for local charities – including many hospices – and has raised more than 50,000 for his local hospice in Wakefield, together with over 5,000 for MacMillan Cancer Support in 2007.

He now raises money for Pact, a Sheffield based charity that helps terminally ill children all over the country who suffer from cancer and leukaemia, and our current running total is 10,000.

He describes himself as a telephone exchange between this world and the next, and whilst many mediums see the spirits they connect with, Mr Holbrook maintains he hears them, which he why he calls himself a clairaudient rather than clairvoyant.

The medium is also proud of his long and continued friendship with the Yorkshire-born TV presenter and singer Jane McDonald.

Her rise to stardom was predicted by him many years before the nation took her to their hearts on the BBC TV show, The Cruise.

She is now a regular on ITV's Loose Women.

Mr Holbrook has written three best selling books about his life and is determined that his charitable commitments will increase in the future. "Hopefully helping some lesser known institutions which don't usually get the limelight or the publicity – or the funding," he added.

The medium, who has visited both Harrogate and Knaresborough for many years, loves the area and says that he always has a great evening.

Although he travels all around the world there is nothing he likes better than playing in his local area. He said: "We have been all over the world with the show. It all sounds very glamorous and I really enjoy doing it, but my home is in Wakefield and there is nothing like sleeping in your own bed."
