Men will not face charges over death

Two men arrested over the mysterious sudden death of a young woman in Yorkshire will not face charges, police have confirmed.

Detectives began a criminal investigation last June after Sade Russell was found dead at her home in Dinnington, South Yorkshire.

Only hours earlier, Miss Russell, 21, had collapsed in the street wearing only a dressing gown while on a night out celebrating a friend’s birthday.

South Yorkshire Police arrested two Dinnington men, aged 33 and 53, in connection with her death, but last night the force confirmed that its criminal inquiry was over.

A spokeswoman said: “The criminal investigation into the death of 21-year-old Sade Ann Russell, whose body was found in Dinnington during the early hours of June 12 last year, has now concluded.

“No charges have been brought by the Crown Prosecution Service and two men arrested at the time have since been released on police bail.

“We now await a date for the conclusion of Sade’s inquest.”

Details of Miss Russell’s last hours emerged when her inquest was opened and adjourned three days after she died.

A coroner was told that two Salvation Army hostel workers had found the woman, who had drunk heavily since her early teens, lying in Lordens Hill, Dinnington.

She was later taken home and was talking before she went to bed, but when her family checked on her a short time later she had died.
