Minster showcase for glass engravers

Engraved-glass enthusiasts are set to shatter attendance records when they turn up to York Minster this month.

Members of the Northern Branch of the Guild of Glass Engravers will be showcasing this art form until June 2. The Minster’s visitor services manager, Clare Whiteley, admires one of the exhibits called Shambling to the Minster by Sandra Snaddon. Entry to the exhibition is free after admission to York Minster and exhibits may be bought. Special demonstrations of the art of glass engraving will take place on May 14 and 21 between 10am and 4pm. Anyone wishing to attend the May 14 presentation should call 01748 812062.
