Moorcroft pottery goes on show

Natalie Murray, collections manager at Cannon Hall, near Barnsley, with Golden Jubilee, by Rachel Bishop, a piece of Moorcroft pottery. Stunning pieces of Moorcroft held at the museum have gone on display with examples from the company's own collection in a unique exhibition.

Cannon Hall, owns the largest public collection of Moorcroft, and

experts from the Stoke-on-Trent factory have helped set up the Moorcroft Festival, which runs until June. The pottery is on show in Cannon Hall's newly refurbished Moorcroft Galleries, and the pieces tell the story of the designs featured in Moorcroft works over the last century.

Cannon Hall has been buying pieces for the last four decades with works ranging from the first designs right up to present day work.
