More disruption to French flights likely

Striking French air traffic controllers disrupted flights again yesterday on the third day of action that looks set to extend into the weekend.

At Orly airport south of Paris, 50 per cent of flights were cancelled, while 15 per cent of were scrapped at Charles de Gaulle airport north of the city.

The controllers are upset at a restructuring plan that would jeopardise their status as public servants.
