Mother in appeal over missing student, 18

THE mother of a teenager who vanished on a night out has appealed for help in finding him.

Jonathan Havron, 18, from Huntington, York, was believed to have been in the Artful Dodger pub, in Micklegate, York, until the early hours of Saturday morning.

He has not been seen since despite a big police hunt

Now his mother, Joanne Wigmore, has pleaded for the missing teen to come home.

She said: "This is completely out of character for Jonathan, we know he would contact us if he was able to and so we are extremely worried.

"He usually prefers nights in with his friends, as he enjoys playing on his Xbox, reading and listening to music.

"He is a happy student at Bishop Burton College with a view to joining the Territorial Army.

"Jonathan would like to join the police force in the future.

"He has a strong interest in forensic science and his goal is to join CID.

"He has a 100 per cent attendance record at college and so this is extremely unusual for him to be missing like this.

"If anyone knows anything at all, no matter how small you may think the piece of information is, please contact the police."

Searches of the River Ouse and River Foss have been carried out and North Yorkshire Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white shirt, a black leather jacket and dark, walking-type boots.
